Langford zeroes in on some of the core disparate fields of prediction studies and argues for the need to unify/centralize these programs. To my mind, it's clear that these areas are converging and that at the center lies a new systems framework for prediction. Iow, Langford's useful list jives with this l'il ole brain o' mine:
